In this podcast, I interviewed a salesperson at Oscar de la Renta and asked her about Oscar’s brand, culture, and customer service. I discovered that the brand is about being elegant, classy, and one-of-a-kind. There is also something traditional about Oscar de la Renta and they still make use of trunk shows as a major marketing mechanism which sets them apart from other designers. In terms of culture, there is a culture of collaboration and competition between the salespeople in the store. And, salespeople go to great lengths to cater to the schedules of their customers and to develop a personal relationship with their clients.
